If one child from a family is already enrolled in a particular school, a sibling registration period will take place a week earlier.

Two EMSB teachers win Prime Minister’s Awards
Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School in Rosemount-Petite-Patrie Music teacher Arianne Asly-Verdon and John Caboto Academy in Ahuntsic Math, English, Citizenship, and Quebec Culture Jennifer De Leeuw have been awarded with a Regional Certificates of Achievement for the 2025 Prime Minister's Award (PMA) for Teaching Excellence.
Federation CJA renews EMSB Holocaust Education Program Funding
The English Montreal School Board, Quebec’s largest English public school board, will be able to continue and enhance its Holocaust Education Program thanks to the renewal of a special grant from Federation CJA. This year’s activities formally kicked off on Monday, November 24  when students from John F. Kennedy High School in St. Michel visited the Montreal Holocaust Museum.
Fifteen EMSB students awarded prizes for Excellence in French
Fifteen students have been presented with the Robert Alfred Peck Prize for Excellence in French from the English Montreal School Board. Based on the 2024-2025 academic year, 13 Secondary IV and two Secondary V students were recognized for attaining the mark of 100 percent. They each  received certificates and cheques in the amount of $100.
EMSB requests permission to use surplus funds to balance budget
EMSB Chair Joe Ortona emphasized that if the Quebec government provides permission to use 15 percent of the adjusted June 30, 2024 accumulated surplus as was allowed in previous years, then a balanced budget can still be achieved.
